De-Sheeding Treatment

This treatment is extremely beneficial for double coated dogs or dogs that moult excessively as it removes up to 50% more loose hair than a standard brush out.

What is a De-Shedding Treatment?

Many dogs shed continuously throughout the year, whilst others may ‘blow’ their coats seasonally. A regular deshedding treatment will help reduce the amount of hair your dog deposits at home! De-shedding is the process of removing loose hair from your dog’s undercoat which will not normally be caught by a conventional comb or brush.
First your pooch will be bathed in specialist de-shedding shampoo and conditioner which will help loosen the dead hair. This shampoo is hypoallergenic and gentle on the skin while strengthening the hair follicles which in turn will help reduce the amount of shedding in the future. Once the shampoo and conditioner is rinsed, we then get your pooch all settled on the table ready for a blow dry, this process helps blow out some of the dead hair we have now loosened with the shampoo treatment and helps along the deshedding process. When your pooch is all dried, we then use our specialist deshedding tool which pulls out as much loose hair as possible.

*Once the de-shedding treatment is complete your dog may still have some loose hair falling out for the next 48hrs or so but after that shedding will be greatly reduced. For optimum coat health and shedding prevention a de-shedding treatment is recommended once a month.
